Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.is an American multinational semiconductor company based in Sunnyvale, California, that develops computer processors and related technologies for commercial and consumer markets. Its main products include microprocessors, motherboard chipsets, embedded processors and graphics processors for servers, workstations and personal computers, and processor technologies for handheld devices, digital television, automobiles, game consoles, and other embedded systems applications.
AMD was also the inventor of the DUAL CORE processor (Multi-Core Processing) back in 2004.
What is the difference between AMD and INTEL?
A; Mainly the price, AMD is relatively cheaper in price but we have seen better stability with AMD.
Why does Target Tech support AMD so much?
A; At Target Tech, we support both platforms(Intel and AMD) but we promote AMD more as from our experience and from the response of our clients, AMD performed better. From Speed and stability to reliability.
Is it true that AMD processors heat up so much?
A; Do people still use pigeons as a form of communication? No, AMD does not have the over heating problem anymore.
Is AMD any good for gamers?
A; AMD should be the first choice for gamers, it is widely popular throughout the gaming world and it is growing at an amazingly fast rate.
What do you think about Intel?
A; Intel is just as good as AMD, but the main reason we don't promote them is their high price compared to AMD. For the same performance you will pay around 20%- 30% more with choosing Intel over AMD. We only promote Intel when it comes to laptops. The reason for this is the battery power. AMD consumes battery power more while the new "i" processors from Intel works better on laptops.
We only promote what we think is best for our clients. If you think we support AMD because their is a bigger profit margin you are wrong. Selling Intel means more profit for us as they are more expensive(Our profit is worked by percentages), so the higher the price, the more profit we make. Why do you think most retailers do not even sell AMD anymore? We will be satisfied only when our client is 100% satisfied with our product and we will continue to research to improve our great products even more. Also our systems are tested and built by degree level, computer systems engineers. At the end of the day, if our clients still wants Intel, we will still provide an Intel system which will still be cheaper than anyone else out there.
Don't just take our word for it, before you purchase a system, just ask an AMD user, what will his next system be?

Do you do Price Challenges?
A; We always keep the price down, you would not need to ask for a lower price as our margins are rock bottom. In Reality nobody in Malta can beat our prices.
